Your Poetry: Your love poem needs to be no longer than 3 mins long. Please make sure your poem discusses love and not sex. If your poem is sexually explicit you will be immediately disqualified from the Slam. To gauge which poems you want to bring, we want Jet and Essence not Playboy or Playgirl style poetry.

Disqualification: If your poem is longer than 3 mins you will be automatically eliminated. If your poem is sexually explicit you will be immediately disqualified.
